As part of the transition, there will be a 4-week intensive induction plan, which involves training & travelling to Cardiff to meet Matt (expenses will be paid), and working closely with his family who are local to Brixham.

“We would like Matt’s support team to learn as much about Matt from what we have shared that includes observations from existing carers of Matt interacting with those around him; knowledge of Matt’s, behaviours (anxious and quiet moments) and interests which are vital to understand for all staying in his home. Matt has trouble understanding the do's and don'ts of life, but he does have a high level of intelligence that includes reading, writing, excellent recall, operating a laptop, iPad, games, and he also enjoys pen and paper hangman. Patience and flexibility with Matt are important and there are numerous interests he finds enjoyment in that includes music, dance, stories, film scenes - called up from the internet - films and comedy series.
