Daily support needs include personal care, meal preparation, home support, and leisure & social activities.

Deanbrook is situated approximately 15 minutes off the A38 from the Marsh Mills roundabout

This is a 24 hour, 365 days per year service and you will need to be flexible to work as the service requires, including mornings, daytime, evenings and weekends.

The Role

As a Support Worker, you will be tasked supporting a gentleman living in the Penzance area. We are looking for enthusiastic people to offer truly outstanding support and make a real difference! Ideally you will be resilient, whilst having a strong personality, and you will be very patient and good humoured. Preferably you would understand the challenges of living with an acquired brain injury (although this is not essential as training and on-going support is provided). Most importantly you will be able to work in a way that is truly person-centred – aiming to make a difference by promoting the persons independence and enhancing his perception of quality of life… and understanding that this may be very different to your own…

A driving license and access to a vehicle is necessary for this vacancy.

This role is currently offered on a part-time basis, based on a two week rolling rota. This will be working one long day (08.15 - 22.00 and a sleep in shift) and 07.00 - 08.15 the following morning - on week one this shift is on a Friday and week two if falls on a Sunday.

About You

The Role

- Make sure that services meet internal and external quality standards
- Collate and conduct quality audits on daily and weekly records
- Ensure that staff are aware of support outcomes and are consistently working with the people we support to achieve them

About You

To join us as a Team Leader, you’ll need:

- Experience of supporting and providing services for individuals with learning disabilities and physical disabilities
- Patience and a good work ethic
- IT skills
- The flexibility to meet service needs

A driving licence and access to your own vehicle would be beneficial. Current knowledge of CQC regulations would also be advantageous.

The Role

In this varied role, you’ll complete supervisions, appraisals, performance management and risk assessments, as well as assisting with day-to-day tasks.

Reporting to the Practice Leader, you will:

- Strive to enhance the quality of life of those we support
- Make sure that any absences are covered
- Implement change initiatives
- Collate daily and weekly records into our online support planning and recording system

About You

To join us as a Team Leader, you’ll need:

- Previous experience as a support worker
- Patience and a good work ethic
- IT skills
- The flexibility to meet service needs
- A full driving licence

A current working knowledge of CQC regulations would be beneficial, as would experience of leading a team.

Other organisations may call this role Care Team Leader, Social Care Team Lead, Support Team Leader, Senior Support Worker, Lead Support Worker, Care Supervisor, or Social Care Supervisor.

Please note, this role is conditional upon receiving an acceptable Enhanced DBS check, Subscription to the DBS Update Service, eligibility to work in the UK and two satisfactory references.
