In this role, you will be supporting a young gentleman living in his own home in the Pool area. You will need to have an enabling and encouraging approach to support, an added interest in trucks and trains would be a bonus.

You will also be responsible for enabling 16 individuals living in their own flats with access to a support hub.
You will be resilient, have a strong personality and be able to work on different levels to suit varying personalities and needs. You will also need to be patient and good humored.

This role is a cover hours position, meaning your hours will be found for you on a month-to-month basis across both the Pool and Redruth Services covering both day and waking night shifts. For this reason, you will need to be able to work flexibly. This will be 20 hours per week, but this could be increased for the right candidate.

Preferably you will have experience supporting individuals with autism and/or learning disabilities and be able to work in a way that is truly person-centred - aiming to make a real difference to the individual’s lives by promoting independence and enhancing their perception of quality of life.

You will also need to be patient and good humored. Preferably you will have experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and be able to work in a way that is truly person centered - aiming to make a real difference to the individual’s lives by promoting independence and enhancing their perception of quality of life. It is important that you understand that this looks different for each individual.

We are currently looking for a Team Leader to support an individual in Brixham, Devon. Are you already an outstanding support worker? Are you already making a difference and looking for the next professional step?

Havencare Homes and Support Limited are looking for an enthusiastic, resilient and forward-thinking person to support the development of this service and be a role model of outstanding support. As Team Leader you will play an important part in developing and delivering innovative person-centred services.

Working part hours on rota, and reporting to the Practice Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the service consistently meets internal and external quality standards. In addition, you will be responsible for supervising and appraising Support Workers, collating daily and weekly records into our online support planning and recording system, ensuring all staff are aware of support outcomes and are consistently working with the people we support to achieve them.

This is a 24 hour, 365 days per year service and you will need to be flexible to work as the service requires, including mornings, daytime, weekends and sleep duties.

Preferably you will have experience of providing services for people living with a learning disability and risk management, familiarity with supervising a team, and a current working knowledge of CQC regulations would be advantageous (but not essential for a person with the right attitude, values and aptitude). Driving license essential for this vacancy.

Matt is currently in hospital in Cardiff and he is moving to Brixham. Matthew has his own home to move into and is looking for a team that can support him transitioning him from hospital to moving into his own home. As team leader we are looking for someone to start before Matt moves to be temporarily based in one of our services in Paignton and be the lead person for the transition - this will include days in Cardiff (all expenses paid) and working closely with the family local to Brixham.
